For a great deal of lesbians, finding the love of your life can be as easy as going online to a lesbian dating website (or even some more general purpose online dating sites) and creating an true profile that is interesting to others, and then just sit back and wait for them to come to you. It is actually that easy but you should also continue taking your own pro-active steps to meet someone. Look at other people's profiles and reach out to them via chat or email on the site. You will likely find some really interested women to connect with. On top of that, you may find some ideas that you might want to capitalize on and add to your profile. After all, if something in someone else's profile catches your eye, then something similarly phrased in your profile will likely catch someone else's eye as well. A big majority of lesbians are often exposed to different types of groups of people as they go about social, work or other events of importance in their lives. If you are someplace where you already have things in common with many of the people present these could be good places to meet someone new and get a relationship started.
A common mistake that a lot of lesbians make when having their first relationship is rushing into things too quickly. Before you end up waking up next to someone you hardly know. Go out together for a while, get to know each other to find out if you have anything in common. You need to have some common interests, values and plans for the future that will compliment each other. Share things with each other, if you get a new job, if a family member has a baby, a party is planned, a kudos you might have gotten, be sure to involve your partner, they are not only your lover, they are your best friend.
If you are at a family gathering or with friends and someone starts telling gay and lesbian jokes that are in bad taste and insulting to you and your partner, and you see your partner is disgusted by it, just get up and leave, tell them you came to enjoy yourselves not to listen to a lot of trash about how other people live their lives|One awkward situation would be to find yourselves at a social or family gathering and hear people dissing the gay and lesbian community at large. This will require you to make a stand and let people know that you will not tolerate statements of that nature. Insult them if you have to. Hopefully your family and friends understand your sexuality so you can then tell them that you are not at all amused at what was said, and that if they think your way of life is something to be made fun of and make jokes about then please don't expect you and your partner to attend any more get togethers. After all, who needs to go anywhere and be made to feel bad.
When it comes to your partner, make sure that you involve have them meet your family and friends as much as possible. This is an important step to establishing and keeping a relationship.
From a purely sexual perspective, being a lesbian, you already understand just how sexual a lesbian can be. Since both are female, lesbians can typically keep each other sexually satisfied for hours at a time. Men seldom last longer than 30 minutes, so that pretty much means that lesbians are God's chosen people when it comes to sexual satisfaction. When one woman is making love to another woman each just naturally knows which enjoyment buttons to press for each other. Gay men have a similar advantage, but too bad about the aids specter. Sex is the one area where a lesbian or gay relationship just runs circles around the hetero types.
The lesbian life is the best that there is, so love your life and live it to the max. Live, love and share your life with others, and try to surround yourselves with loving and caring family and friends who accept you for what you are and will be there for you at any time should you need them.
Just remember people are always a little uneasy about things they really don't know a lot about so try to stick with those who have a positive attitude. Since you are lesbians, then it would be best if many of your friends are from the lesbian community. Open minded heterosexual friends are tough to find, so if you have a few, cherish them and nurture them.
Just remember that after God created Adam and Eve, she realized her mistake and gave Eve a lesbian friend to keep her happy. Adam was such a domineering sexual schmuck after all.

Dating Online – Tips for Success
Online Dating Positives
One of the most amazing things that modern technology has offered to the human race is the entire new way that it is possible to meet someone new. Yes, I am talking about online dating sites. In the hundreds of thousands of years that human beings have been meeting and interacting with each other, there has never been anything that approaches the reach, the utility, and the convenience of online dating.
Up until recently, you were limited to whoever was in your immediate vicinity and social circle. Now, you can meet and woo anyone in the world. The most amazing thing is that you can look through what they say about themselves and shortlist a bunch of people that you are interested in that also have some things in common with you. On top of this, most dating systems have searching algorithms that will help you find all those people in the first place. It is just so amazingly easy.
Cons to Online Dating
Online dating sites are not foolproof. One problem is that people say what they are looking for, but they really do not know exactly what they want. People are much better at saying what they do not want in a partner than they are in saying what they want. Even so, people will often end up falling for someone who has many characteristics that they say they would not touch with a ten foot pole. On top of all that, online dating sites are the victims of members who exaggerate about themselves a lot, or just plain lie. For example, the hot young woman you think you’ve been chatting up online could be a 500 pound rat-catcher from Arsspik, Siberia. Or vise versa. Men and women both tend to post younger and more flattering pictures of themselves before they gained 40 pounds, and had more hair. You will never know if any of the people that you are chatting with are blowing smoke up your butt or not. As well, the person you are considering as a partner may be married, and looking to cheat. You don’t want to be part of that. Better to be involved with someone being honest to you, as well as his or her significant other.
The bigger dating sites will actually have millions of profiles for you to search through, and that is a curse! Even with the computerized help, the task is daunting. How can you zero in better? Of course if you are like me you just need to search for "deaf, dumb, oversexed female who owns liquor store"!
Other Online Dating Recommendations
A name like THREEINCHTOOL is unlikely to gain you much positive attention after all. Chose something that you can mention in mixed company, or better yet, to your minister. Another gem of advice is to let out your personal details gradually. Do not rush it. Slowly let the other person get to know you, and vise-versa. It’s safer. Talk on the phone a few times before meeting in person. Use a phone anonymizing service for the first few calls to protect you from any potential wackos that you might connect with.
Use a recent, accurate picture of yourself. If you present yourself the way that you actually are, there will be no disappointments when you first meet with her, and that will be a plus Do not put up a picture on your profile that you would be ashamed to show in public. You may be tempted to do something daring, but do not. You will only attract the wrong crowd. Also, although dating sites are supposed to be anonymous, pictures are not, and someone you know may recognize you, so do not put up any sort of compromising picture. Never complain about your current situation or your ex. Nobody likes to listen to a complainer. If pressed, admit to making a few mistakes and that you think you have learned from them. Also, make sure that you have more than one person that you are talking to at the same time. So many people stretch the truth in online dating that getting your hopes up on one specific person before you meet them is most likely to end in disappointment. So join several sites, preferably under different online names, and have 4 or 5 people on your active friends list at any one time. It is okay to date more than one person at a time until you are ready to commit. It is expected!
For your first in-person date when meeting someone after chatting online, there are some common sense moves you can make to ensure it goes smoothly. Choose a day date, first off. That way if you don’t hit it off, you can leave and still have your evening free. Second, if your date is not over coffee, set your phone alarm to go off a half hour into the date. That way, if it’s not going well, you can jet with an excuse. Lastly, let them know you’re also seeing other people. It is best to be honest, and ask them for the same thing.
If you have picked well, you have a strong chance of achieving instant chemistry, and potentially a lifetime of happiness. Bon Chance!

Gay Dating
Some people believe that all gay men are shallow when it comes to finding someone they would like to have a permanent relationship with. But is that really true? Of course many of us prefer a hot, healthy body; pretty much everyone wants that, right? In fact sometimes it is hard for the ones that do not fit that physical ideal to find a partner. It is more of a challenge for gay men because they are in a minority. Some gay men are shallow and there's not a lot you can do to change that. My belief is that if they do not like me then they can kiss my not so flabby tush.
With age comes wisdom, and as gay men mature, they will tend to mellow out and look for someone who is more of a friend than just a hot body. But until that day comes you might just have to take what you can get, or try going to the gym once in awhile. Looks tends to be very important to younger gay men, but it is not the only thing. Not many guys want to date someone that is pot bellied. Personally for me I have to be very attracted to the person before I even have any idea's about interacting with another man. I guess that makes me shallow, but satisfied.
Why are so many young gay men interested in slim trim athletic types? Guys in general are sexual creatures and want to have sex with good looking guys. This also holds true for many young men who are not really interested in a relationship. But with varying 'attractive' criteria in different cultures, it is still possible for chubby men to get action. There are many reasons why some people will focus on physical attributes over all others. Some people just behave this way when it comes to picking a lover its just who they are.
I know many people in my life that I would not consider dating, but I still like them as friends. I have some wonderful friends that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world, and I met the majority of them via online dating sites. Maybe I am an online dating site junky, but that is one of the best ways that I have found to meet new people. Now I know what your thinking, its because I can see what they look like, well that might be part of it but its not the real reason, its because most of the guys I meet online are exactly what I'm looking for. With my busy life style, I do not get a lot of opportunities to just troll bars looking for a lay, so my escape hatch is gay dating sites where I can hang out for a short time talking to people that I have come to know and respect.
I think I am at that cusp in my life where I am transitioning from casual pickups to a long term commitment. I am not quite ready to make the commitment jump yet, but I am thinking that a few longer term relationships might help me get past the fear that I have of being exclusive with just one person. Thats where the online dating comes in, you see when you join an online dating site both you and he know where each other stands so there's no surprises. If you start dating and the person seems to be rushing it and making you uncomfortable, it is easy to move on. And if by chance they start to hassle you online, well all you have to do is block them, with online dating sites your real email address phone number and address are never given out so there's no worry about someone bothering you unless you were stupid and gave them your personal contact information already. The best thing though is that most of the men on dating sites are just like you, and are unlikely to push themselves on someone where the affection is not being returned.
For the most part most men do not care so much what you look like, or how you style your hair or whether or not you work out or not. They are primarily looking for someone to hang with. They would like someone with similar interests, who is intellectually challenging and has compatible personality traits. Someone who is compassionate, caring and giving. Someone who's company they can enjoy. Someone who will be there in the morning.
So if your looking for love in all the wrong places then join an online dating site to expand your horizons. There are literally hundreds of gay dating sites just waiting to help you meet someone special. They have a variety of members from many countries all looking for someone to share their time and lives with. So what are you waiting for? Get off your tush, get online and check them out. You won't be disappointed. At worst you will meet a lot of interesting people that you will come to regard as friends, even if they never make it to lovers. Below is the link to the site that I use, they have so many sites to chose from, I'm sure you'll find one that has what your looking for.
